One the fastest of devices is the DVD-ROM, using the same design as a CD. They are able to store more data, 13 CDs. They use a red laser, in which makes them smaller and the spiral are wound tighter. Flash Memory Storage is electrically programmable read-only memory. Data is stored secutely even whrn the power is removed. Flash memory was primarily used to store start up or (boot up) as it is sometimes called. It is being used to store data for cell phones and mobile devices ae a couple examples.
