Edsger Wybe Dijkstra -- A Computer Science Giant

Computer Science is a relatively new field of study, but already some "big" names have surfaced. Among these is Dr. Edsger Wybe Dijkstra , a Dutchman who taught in the late 1990s at the University of Texas in Austin. Do an Internet search on Dijkstra to learn about his fantastic contributions to CS theory. As always, blog on!

Dijkstra's theories in his algorithm were probably not too well received by the computer industry. They always wanted to use all available resources and his idea was to make sure you ha the resources to do a job before you started it. It was undoubtedly a kick in the pants for most users. But his theory is most correct, and by using it you will not have the many problems in processing. Slowdowns or shutdowns will be kept to a minimum.;

Dijkstra is one of the most recent people who changed the way we think; He is a mathematician genius, I think the biggest contribution was the invention of the shortest path algorithm
