This blog makes a very interesting business point -- that Microsoft, like GM, has fundamental business problems. Read this just for the comparison of two major US giants, and then, as always, blog on!
The "Blue Screen of Death" didn't threaten the life of Microsoft, but it probably gave their programmers high blood pressure. Wikipedia (a useful site, but evaluate it carefully before accepting everything available there) explains BSoD very well. Do some research on your own, always keeping in mind that the technology consideration is always impacted by the business considerations. What impact did BSoD have on Microsoft?
